I'm English, but a bizarre set of circumstances found me strolling down a sunny street in Santa Rosa (as one does), where I met this pal who I felt I knew from somewhere, so I had a pic taken with him (that's me on the right). If I'd had my tap-shoes on at the time, I'd have danced around him.

After that pivotal meeting, and having sought my friend's advice, I decided to start a website specialising only in film musicals. Why? Because they're fun and there's far too much gloom and doom around. This is sheer 'Escapesville' (to quote my friend). I decided to call the site 'Musicals! Musicals!', and it starts with the first of these, in 1927, with a chap called Al Jolson warbling mesmerisingly in throaty baritone and telling us "You ain't heard nothin' yet."

Well, he was right, because many film musicals followed, ultimately in full sound and colour. Hence, for the moment, Golden Screen Gems offers only Musical Films – from 1927 to the 1980s and beyond – which can be appreciated and enjoyed over and over again, as well as making entertaining and thoughful gifts which will be appreciated and enjoyed (oh, I just said that) by the youngsters in the family as well as Mum and Dad, Granny or Gramps as they dance, sing and sigh their way down Memory Lane.

The films are on Region 2 (except where otherwise stated) digitally-remastered DVDs. Postage and shipping costs are included in the overall price, so what you see is what you pay, with nothing added during the ordering process. Delivery is currently confined to the UK and EU.
